The Polar Wave building is now the home of Shock City Studio, arguably the most state of the art recording studio in St. Louis area. The building was renovated into 18,259 square feet of commercial space and 19 apartment units with the help of federal and Missouri historic tax credits.

Music trivia buffs will be interested to know that members of the development team were part of the band Gravity Kills.
