Missouri Film Production Tax Credits

Missouri Film Production Tax Credits –In order to attract film production and the related economic benefit to Missouri, the state has a film production credit available.  Missouri film production credits are issued to a qualified film production company for up to 35% of the amount expended in Missouri for production or production-related activities to facilitate film production in Missouri. 

Missouri film production tax credits are sellable or transferable with a carry forward of 5 years.  The Missouri film production tax credit can be used to offset Missouri income tax, corporate franchise tax, Bank Tax, Insurance Premium Tax, and other Financial Institution Tax. 

The Missouri film production tax credit program is currently capped at $4.5 million per year.
