We hate being right, but the Missouri legislature proved that it was incapable of getting anything done during the most recent special session. Don't assume we have some great insight into how Missouri politics work. The current group is so obviously dysfunctional that this session was doomed from the start.

The good news is that the current state of Missouri historic and Missouri low income tax credits won't change. The Missouri House won't allow the Missouri Senate to impose changes that will provide the mechanism to kill tax credits, and the Senate won't move forward on any economic legislation without such power. Thank goodness for the leadership of Speaker Tilley in not allowing laws to pass that will allow a single Senator the power to filibuster the credits and force them to sunset a few years down the road.
