In 2009, a citizens group in St. Louis mounted a legal challenge to the Missouri Distressed Area Land Assemblage Tax Credit. A judge ruled against the group in April. However, the group filed a notice to appeal on Monday, May 12th, the last day they could file an appeal.

It is highly unlikely that this group will be successful. They were soundly defeated in the initial trial, and they will most likely be asked to post a large bond if they wish to pursue their case.
